Pilates is a precise and gentle exercise for total body conditioning that gives you a balanced and correct alignment to improve your posture.

Pilates can help improve posture, and patients have even reported feeling taller as their spine has straightened. It focuses on core muscles and elongation without stressing the joints or muscle bulkiness.

It is suitable for anyone, from athletes to non-exercisers, and any age and gender. Unlike any intense cardio workout, pilates is very gentle.  It is controlled movements, working small groups of muscles that you may not have previously concentrated on.

It also focuses on mobility; the correct movements can help you feel more supple.

Why one-to-one?

Everybody is different, and it’s important to tailor exercise to suit each individual. It is easy to keep working on well-known dominant muscle groups this may lead to an unbalanced body, potentially causing injury or pain. It is important to find your habit of movements and establish which areas to work on.

One-to-one sessions are tailored to your individual needs. They aim to strengthen the weak parts of the body as well as gaining the mobility and feeling more supple. You will have better body awareness for your everyday life.


It is good to keep doing moderate exercises during pregnancy. Pilates is very gentle, and focusing on breathing will help to relax your body and mind.

As the body shape changes during the pregnancy, it is important to keep the general core strength to maintain your posture and to protect against the strain of your body, especially the lower back.

It is not advisable to do pilates for the first 16 weeks, unless by special arrangement with the instructor. It is also advisable to wait 6 weeks after birth before resuming exercise, and wait at least 12 weeks or longer if you had a caesarian section. Permission from the doctor is required.
